Cost, lifespan & care.

The questions we hear most, with honest answers — including where a wrap isn't the right call. Still wondering about something specific to your vehicle? Reach out and we'll tell you straight.

How much does a vehicle wrap cost?

There's no flat rate, because no two jobs are the same. Price comes down to four things: the size of the vehicle, how much of it you cover, the film and finish you choose, and how much design work it takes. A partial wrap with a logo and lettering on a compact car is a different job than a full color-change on an SUV or a fleet box truck. Tell us the vehicle and the look you're after and we'll put a clear, itemized number to it — no guessing, no surprises at pickup.

Why is a wrap a good investment for a business?

A branded work truck or van is advertising you only pay for once, then keep for years off miles you're already driving. Parked at a job site, idling at a light, or rolling down the US-30 corridor, it works around the clock. Against billboards or paid local ads, the cost-per-impression on a wrapped vehicle is hard to beat — which is why fleets are where most of our clients see the fastest return.

How long does a wrap last?

Premium cast vinyl typically holds up for several years with normal care. Cheaper calendered film lasts less, and color, finish, and how the vehicle is stored all factor in. We match the material to how long you actually need it to perform and tell you straight what to expect — we'd rather set the right expectation than oversell the film.

What shortens a wrap's life the fastest?

Three things, mostly: constant UV with no shade, automatic car washes with stiff brushes that lift the edges, and contaminants — fuel, bird droppings, tree sap, road salt — left to sit on the film. None of it is hard to avoid. A hand wash, a little shade between long shifts, and rinsing off the rough stuff promptly will keep the color sharp for the full life of the vinyl.

Wrap or repaint — which should I choose?

For most businesses and many vehicle owners, a wrap. It costs less than a quality respray, installs in a fraction of the time, and comes off clean later. A repaint is permanent and can hurt resale; a wrap is reversible and protects the factory paint underneath while it's on. Repaint still wins if you want a permanent change you'll never undo — but for branding, color changes, and anything you might revert, a wrap is usually the smarter call.

Will a wrap damage my paint?

No — on healthy factory paint, a wrap protects the surface and removes cleanly when the time comes. The one caveat: we don't recommend wrapping over paint that's already chipping, flaking, or rusting, because the film can lift it further when removed. We check the condition of your paint during the quote and tell you honestly if a surface isn't a good candidate.

Can I wrap a leased vehicle?

Usually, yes. The wrap comes off before you return the vehicle, with the original paint preserved underneath — which is exactly why wraps are popular on leases. Confirm the specifics in your lease agreement first, then we'll handle the rest, including clean removal at the end of the term.

How long will my vehicle be out of service?

A single wrap is usually a few days, depending on coverage and how much surface prep it needs. For fleets, we schedule the work in waves so part of your operation keeps running while the rest gets wrapped — you're never grounded all at once. We give you a realistic timeline up front so you can plan around it.

Do you design the wrap, or do I bring my own artwork?

We design in-house — that's the part most shops skip. Bring your brand and your goals, or your existing brand guidelines, and we build the concept from there. If you already have print-ready files, even better; send them over and we'll work from what you have. Either way, you approve a proof shown on your actual vehicle before anything is printed or cut.

Will every truck in my fleet match?

Yes — that's the whole point of a fleet program. Because the design is built in-house as one system and the color is proofed before production, the tenth van reads the same as the first. Add a vehicle next year and it still looks like it belongs with the rest. Consistency across units is exactly what turns a mixed fleet into one recognizable brand on the road.

How do I take care of a wrap once it's on?

Wash by hand with mild soap and water, skip the brush-style automatic washes, keep high-pressure jets off the seams, and rinse off contaminants promptly. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent or citrus cleaners — a microfiber cloth handles most jobs. It's low-maintenance, not no-maintenance, and every wrap goes home with simple, vehicle-specific care notes. Our full care guide walks through it step by step.

Does the wrap come off cleanly when I'm done with it?

On healthy factory paint, yes. The film removes cleanly and leaves the surface it was protecting underneath. If a phone number or an offer changes, we can often re-letter a single panel instead of redoing the whole vehicle — cheaper and faster than a full re-wrap. We'll talk through removal and updates whenever your branding needs to change.

Where the time actually goes.

Most of a wrap timeline is design and proofing, not the install itself. Here's the path every project follows — and you see it on your own vehicle before a single panel is cut.
